Keeping a carbon monoxide journal
is a very good idea
After a poisoning it is wise to keep a carbon monoxide journal. Even if a survivor says they feel "fine" it is
still a very good idea.
First, have someone write down in as much detail as possible, everything that is known about the poisoning and
the circumstances around it. This serves as a record that may be needed at some point in the future.
From then on, keep a carbon monoxide journal. This can be very beneficial in helping to recognize symptoms and
after effects, particularly if there are subtle ones.
A journal can help improve the quality of medical care if any additional treatment is required.
A journal can also be of great assistance if a carbon monoxide lawyer is needed. Especially if called upon years
after the poisoning.
Keeping a journal is simple. All that is needed are quick points to track:
- the date
- physical health
- energy levels
- emotions - especially frustration, anger, rage, upset, and/or depressive emotions
- observations or comments made by other people - especially conflict or criticism
- anything else that could be related
Where there are multiple CO poisonings, it is recommended that one journal for is kept each person.
Until each survivor and their immediate family are confident that the survivor has fully recovered it
is strongly recommended to keep journaling.

It also helped with my carbon monoxide lawyer as he had a record with dates of what I was going through. The case could still be a few more years so I'm still keeping track.
