Long term carbon monoxide symptoms and effects:
- Ongoing physical,
mental and behavioral, and relationship symptoms and effects of
carbon monoxide poisoning can [severely] reduce the ability of the survivor to be productive in a way the once
were. This can lead to [significant] changes to work and career
- Ongoing physical,
mental and behavioral, and relationship symptoms and effects of
carbon monoxide poisoning can [severely] impact the self image of the survivor. This stress can lead to a [significant] loss of self
confidence
Who is impacted by long term effects:
- An unknown but meaningful percentage of survivors will experience changes to their work life following
poisoning, particularly those with serious poisoning
- Many more may experience life changes in the years following carbon monoxide poisoning that they do not
recognize as being related to poisoning

- Work seems [much] more difficult than it used to be
- I'm having [a lot of] problems getting things done
- I can't keep track of things
- I just can't remember details like I used to
- I just can't handle stress the way I used to
- I find myself frustrated [a lot] more often than I used to be
- I find it [so] difficult to be productive
- I just can't function the way I used to
- I can no longer work at all
- I get tired so much easier (and when I am tired it is [much] more difficult getting things done)
